Our Services: MICROCURRENT FACIAL SCULPTING
MicroCurrent facial sculpting is our non-surgical face tightening service. This new technological advancement works by applying a painless electric current into the skin’s cells and tissues, as well as the facial muscles underneath. This series of treatments has the effect of tightening theskin and facial muscles, thus giving your face “a lift.” In doing so, this particular MicroCurrent treatment reduces wrinkles and other signs of aging. Typical target spots for treatment include:
What is MicroCurrent? Clinical studies have consistently shown that MicroCurrent
Various types of MicroCurrent modalities are commonly used in professional sports and Olympics to accelerate healing or soreness and injury.
How does it affect your face? Microcurrent emits electrical frequencies that mimic your body’s own electrical signals, there-by increasing the amount of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate – the chemical fuel of human cells) by as much as 500%. The increased ATP levels speed your cell metabolism and elimination of cellular waste and impurities. This helps your skin rebuild its collagen and elastin, which give your skin its flexibility and firmness. The end results of these processes can be seen in improved skin tone and coloration, the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and the firming of sagging areas of the face. Direct benefits from MicroCurrent facial sculpting include:
When will you see results? Potential results from your first treatment may include:
How long does it take? Because of the cumulative healing effects of MicroCurrent, the treatments become more effective as you progress through a series of treatments. The length of treatment required to see maximum results varies with each individual patient and depends largely on the condition of your face and skin when treatments begin. Patients with greater aging effects, such as severe neck sagging, deep facial creases, or distinguished “crow’s feet” at the brow may require up to 15 treatment sessions. During the first week of treatment, a minimum of 2 sessions is recommended. Thereafter, one session per week is sufficient until treatment is complete. For those who may be in a time crunch, i.e. upcoming wedding, or other big event, 2 treatments per week may be utilized to speed results. The initial MicroCurrent treatment generally takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. Each subsequent treatment takes roughly 1 hour.
How long does it last? By the 6th to 8th treatment, your body’s muscle memory takes over and progress becomes more rapid and longer lasting. After the initial treatment sessions are complete, only a “booster” treatment is only needed every 4 to 6 weeks. This process is called “muscle re-education.” The dramatic increase in ATP levels allows your muscles to stay in the re-educated positions for longer periods of time. Your results will be maintained for as long as you receive “booster” treatments every 4 to 6 weeks.
